Orrin Devinsky, MD
Professor of Neurology at NYU Grossman School of Medicine

Orrin Devinsky, MD, is Professor of Neurology, Neuroscience, Neurosurgery, and Psychiatry at the NYU School of Medicine, where he directs the Epilepsy Center. His epilepsy research includes the development of new antiseizure medications, genetic epilepsies and their treatment, sudden death in epilepsy (SUDEP), cannabidiol, autism, healthful behavioral changes, quality-of-life, and surgical therapy.

He is on the Executive Committee of the SUDEP Institute and Scientific Advisory Boards of the Epilepsy Foundation, Dup15q Alliance, TS Alliance, KCNQ2 Cure Foundation, FOXG1 Foundation, KBG Foundation, CURE DHPS, and Chairs the Loulou Foundation CDKL5 Program of Excellence.

He founded Finding A Cure for Epilepsy and Seizures (FACES) and co-founded the Epilepsy Therapy Project and epilepsy.com. Other interests include behavioral neurology, evolutionary biology, nutrition, and the history of science.
